While the WQI model is a comprehensive tool that aims at evaluating a website in terms of the quality and the impact, the 3C-D-T model represents a conceptual framework for analyzing the quality of a website and thus may be seen as a subset of the WQI model.

The 3C-D-T model incorporates existing website evaluation models found in the related literature and provides a new way of analyzing commercial websites. The model is centered on five dimensions, including content, community, commerce, design and technology.
